Here is a list of great places to eat in Meath. You will not be disappointed!

The Terrace Lounge and Gulliver’s Lounge: Afternoon tea or a fine whiskey on the rocks? It is difficult to choose between these two lounges at Knightsbrook Spa & Resort in Trim. The food menu is the same in both and a great choice for lunch or dinner. Both are perfect to kick back, relax and soak up the atmosphere whether on the Terrace or in the Bar during live entertainment (keep an eye out on their website for the line-up).

The Olive Tree, Trim: The green square building is humbly
nestled a stone through away from the foot of the Yellow Steeple on the corner of Bridge Street. A warm welcome and a range of specialty teas will leave you feeling zen. The Olive Tree is a tea room that serves great coffee with a selection of fresh delicacies that will satisfy a sweet tooth. Perfect for lunch or and afternoon delights.

The Gandon Room, Slane Castle: With a beautiful and elegant interior, this restaurant is extremely popular in the locality. So, make sure you book in advance. The Gandon Room offers a seasonal take on Irish cuisine and will not be forgotten anytime soon. Perfect for lunch and dinner.

The Drawing Room, Bellinter House – Navan: It’s cosy in Bellinter House on a late afternoon for delights or a light lunch. Here, your living room meets Downton Abbey. The small plates are mouth watering and the scones – still warm from the oven – are still the best we have ever had. Unwinding in the Drawing Room makes you wonder, why you do not do this more often…

AVOCA, Dunboyne: A store, a food market, a café and a garden centre! Avoca has a wide selection to choose from. We, particularly love Sprout and Fork Café. Sprout is our go-to nutritious stop and Fork Café is for when we feel a little bold and indulgent. A quick stop on the way to Trim from Dublin becomes an hour later and home decor/gardening inspiration!

Relish Cafe, Bettystown: The original of four branches with delicious cakes and coffee, right on the bay of Bettystown. The menu is fresh with locally sourced produce and the sea-breeze; priceless.

Room8 Café, Navan: With great reviews, an award winning Chef and a superb menu, treat yourself at Room8! The ambiance is inviting and a perfect choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner – whatever you fancy. You cannot go wrong.

Trim ‘n Healthy: A vegetarian and vegan cafe with an adjacent health shop. The team is very friendly and have great recommendations. We regularly pop in for a chat over the most delicious Buddha bowls and smoothies.
